Risk Acknowledgement

We take the safety of our staff and clients very seriously, however, there is a risk of serious injury or death in all adventure activities. One of the risks that remains in rock climbing is the risk of falling from height as there are hazards such as cliff edges in the rock climbing environment

The staff and management of Wānaka Rock take all steps reasonably practicable to identify and mitigate these. Some of the steps involve you (our client) following instructions and recommendations at all times including in the use of any and all equipment; supplied by Wānaka Rock and also your own.

The final decision about whether to partake in these activities is yours; however our staff may cancel, postpone or stop the activity. Or very occasionally withdraw a person from an activity, if in their opinion, the person is likely to endanger themselves or others.
